Mon, 17 April 2006 This is the inaugural episode of "Sterno's World". Unfortunately, the audio quality is not up to snuff, but we all gotta start somewhere. Right? I give a quick overview of where I plan to take the show, do a quick rant on reality TV, and introduce the theme music.

Hey Sterno!! Purty good start ^__^ Yay! Lesee, a couple of times - your voice was weird.. an audio prob methinks. But other than that, the quality is good.
Reality TV is not real! XP But they're fun to watch XP Altho I dun watch much TV anymore.
Ya know, in the philippines, my family used to play a lot of boardgames together.

Yo, Sterno... surprise, surprise!!! You done branched off on your own. Kinda like Beyonce leaving Destiny's Child. Those guys were holding you back anyway. :) You're free to explore your universe now and I'm curious as to what more goes on in there than I already know. Have fun and delve into those mysterious multiple layers that comprise your individuality. I think you should've used your own identity though, instead of masking yourself behind Sterno. I'm not sure I like the use of you describing yourself as a Filipino American Geek, either. You may be Geeky, and into Geeky things, but I wouldn't define you as a Geek. There's more to you than just that. Peel the onion that you are and let people get to know the core of your personality. I also think you should've used that photograph pictured in the "Daily Break" to disclose your identity; although, I like how you used North America to be your Superman Curl. Anyways... Hope this doesn't mean the end of the Sini-gang. ttyl and keep it "real!"

Sterno, have you ever thought of seeing a speech therapist for your lisp? My roommate is a speech therapist that works with "bigger" people and she has done wonders with them.

Actually, I did see a speech therapist in grade school. There was some improvement, but I've gotten lazy as time has gone by. It's one more thing that I have on my "Need To Work On" list.

Sterno, interesting comments about reality shows. As a watcher of at least two reality shows (Survivor and Ultimate Fighter), it's not as much living vicariously through these people for me as it is watching normal, everyday people shooting for their dreams and living them. To me, that's more inspiring than watching a television show with actors saying lines and resolving their issues neatly in a 30-minute package. While reality Tv is still staged and edited, it portrays the human being in a more "realistic" manner than...say "Gilmore Girls". ;-) I don't think we're turning into slugs b/c of reality Tv, we're turning into slugs b/c PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND WATCHING TOO MUCH TV IN GENERAL.
As for the PSP comment, I see it more open than you do. Think about how we grew up playing board games IN OUR LIVING ROOMS and then think about at how your cousin is playing with a kid SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD on their psp's and COMMUNICATING with him via a headset. Don't fear technology, embrace it!

Yo, Kuya Sterno! It's funny how you mentioned D & R in there, but I couldn't agree with you more about the whole technology thing. Back then, we could play checkers on a board, but now we have the option to play it online as well. But hey, it's a good thing. =P Great first show and I'm looking forward to listening to your future episodes. Now you just need to get a goldfish named Dorothy.
